Session Policy
 
  • Providing a  smooth, relaxing stress free session in a comfortable environment is our commitment.  We understand sometimes being late is unavoidable.   If session starts late, it will be made up at the end of your session if possible,  or your fee will be reduced accordingly.  If you arrive late to your session  will end at the originally scheduled time so the client following you is not penalized.

  • The therapist will determine how best to perform a therapeutic session. The therapist will do her best to meet a client's need (i.e.: preferences of pressure, areas to be avoided.) If the client experiences any pain or discomfort during the session, s/he must immediately inform the therapist so that the pressure and/or strokes may be adjusted to his/her level of comfort. Each session will be documented.
 
  • All massages are therapeutically oriented and non-sexual.  Any remarks or gestures made by the client and interpreted by the therapist as harassment or sexual in nature will result in the immediate termination of the session, and the client will be liable for full payment of the scheduled appointment.
 
  • The use of soft tissue manipulation, Swedish and Deep Tissue massage techniques will be employed during your session. These techniques include effleurage, petrissage, compression, friction, vibration, tapotement, stretching and joint movement. Depending upon your consultation and current needs, other modalities (Acupressure, Trigger Point, Shiatsu, etc.) may be suggested and implemented.
 
  • Partial or full disrobing is recommended for your massage session.  At all times attention to proper draping and appropriateness is maintained by the use of sheets and towels. It is also asked that you respect the therapist by maintaining appropriate coverage outside the therapy room.
 
  • Massage should not be used as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. All clients should see a doctor for any mental or physical ailment they are aware of because therapists are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness, and nothing said in the course of a session should be construed as such.
 
  • As massage is contraindicated (should not be done) under certain medical conditions (i.e.: illness, recent surgeries, skin disorders, etc.) clients must state all known medical conditions, and answer all questions honestly. Clients must agree to keep the therapist updated as to any changes in their medical history and understand that there shall be no liability on the therapist's part should client forget to do so.

  • Please shower the day of your appointment as close to your scheduled time as possible and refrain from wearing cologne/perfume as a courtesy to others.
 
  • Remember to drink water before and after your session as massage can release metabolic wastes into your bloodstream as part of the body's natural cleansing process.
 

 Cancellation, Reschedule & Arrival Policy
 
A valid credit card deposit is required for all appointments.  When you give your credit card number for your appointment, it will be validated and charged a $39 non-refundable deposit.   Deposits will apply to services rendered.
 
    Just Breathe Massage is by appointment only and your time is dear to us and exclusively for you we ask in consideration to our guest, waiting list and therapist/technician that you arrive on time. 

     If you will need to  reschedule or cancel your service, a 24 hour reschedule/cancellation notice is required. 

     If less that a 24 hour reschedule/cancellation is given, you will be charged $39 up to 100% of your scheduled session's fee.  Clients who arrive late will be charged in full for their scheduled session, but will receive a abbreviated session.

For example, if you scheduled an hour session and arrive 15 minutes late, you will be charged for that hour session but will only have a 45 minute session. If you choose to reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, the $39 up to 100% charge still applies.  Absolutely No Refunds.  No Exceptions.
 

  •  If a therapist/technician needs to change, or cancel, an appointment as much advance notice as possible will be given. You will be given an offer for the inconvenience.  If a therapist/technician is late to an appointment, a pro-rated fee for the abbreviated session will be charged.
  •  You are responsible for your appointment when booked. As a courtesy, we attempt to confirm all appointments via email, text messaging and phone.  You may communicate via text, email, Facebook, Twitter and voice mail.  All polices apply whether you get a reminder are not.
  • We ensure a healthful environment for all of our guests by maintaining a no-smoking policy.
  •  We love the freedom cell phones give us and we also enjoy the freedom from a phone while giving you a massage, so please turn off phones and beepers during the session.
  •  Therapists may provide massage and bodywork for minors under 18 with parental consent.
  •  Parents must call to schedule the session and request a parental consent form, which needs to be signed and kept on file.
  •  Food is not allowed in a therapy room. Drinks are limited to bottled water. Please do not eat heavy at least 90 minutes before a session.
  •  People under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed in a session. If a therapist deems that you are under the influence they have the right to refuse service.
 
Monetary Policy:
 
  • We are pleased to honor:  Cash, Check, PayPal, Square, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express.   Please note that there is a fee of $39.00 for  returned checks.  Insurance plans are not accepted.
  • Payment Arrangements: A Non-Refundable Deposit of $39.00 is required at scheduling.  Remaining payment is due at the time services are rendered.
  • Sessions, Discounts and Specials:  We offer a variety of sessions, ongoing specials and discounts.
  •  Gift Certificates are available.
  • No Refunds.  No exceptions.  All services and sales or final.
 
Gratuities
 
 We do encourage tipping as a show of your appreciation for good service.
But, is not required.
 
  • Different regions and cultures have different rules regarding tips.  We understand that.
  • We ask if you would like to place a tip at checkout so that you can obtain change for it and provide any feedback regarding your services with a comment form.
  • At a professional salon, a tip of 20% or higher is customary and means you liked the service.  15% means it was acceptable, but something could be improved. A smaller tip means you did not.
  • A manager may request your comments when a tip is less than 10%.
  • You may also show gratitude with referral sources or networking. Allowing you one (1) free service every three (3) referrals.  Ask for details.
 
Confidentiality & Privacy
 
  • We do believe that every client has the right to privacy and confidentiality. The conversations you have with your therapist will remain confidential. We would also ask that you respect the rights of others by not asking about any of our other clients.
  •  Your right to privacy will be ensured. A private area is provided for changing before and after your massage. Additionally, client lists and email lists are confidential. We do not share our client lists with outside companies.
